Shrinkage
Shrinkage is so whack. I mean really, you never get to see how long your hair really is without pulling and tugging on it. I am happy to see how much longer my hair is, with shriankage. This picture of my hair is straight out of the shower, looking rather dense. When looking at it, I didn't really notice a difference, UNTIL I looked at pictures of my big chop. I was utterly shocked, my hair has almost doubled in size. I can't wait to see how much longer it gets within the upcoming years!

my hair shrinks 80-85%...i just embrace shrinkage..lol
I feel you with the shrinkage!!!! Im trying to embrace it but ITS DIFFICULT!! LOL. I have been natural for 8months now. I love it but watching my hair grow is like watching paint dry!!!! Stay encouraged! Ive seen your make-up Blogs. You are getting here sistah!!!! It does help to have encouragement!!!!
I agree with the other two bloggers that commented on shrinkage. It is truly amazing at just how much our hair shrinks up after getting it wet, whether it's by shampooing, co-washing, or just simple rinsing. Water may be our hair's best friend, but it sure does shrink up as it dries. To see the 'before' and 'after' effects is truly amazing. So, I'd have to agree with Amina and just embrace the shrinkage and appreciate what God has blessed us with. :)
By the way, I enjoy your vids and share in your hair journey from relaxed to natural. Keep up the good work. Your 'fro is on the grow!

Shrinkage ain't no joke. It's down to my nape if I flat iron it. The rest of the time you would never think it's that long just by looking at it.
My hair looks just like that when I get out the shower. Shrinkage is a beast! I almost hate it but when I stretch my hair out, i am in love with how long it really is.
